When a registered alien changes his/her address of residence, the change must be reported to the immigration office, district office, or community service center within 14 days of the change.

  In Yongsan-gu, address changes may be registered at the Civil Affairs Service & Passport Division or community service center (Tel. 02-2199-6543)

• Passport
• Alien Registration Card
• Document proving change of residence (lease contract, etc.)

Important Notices

Anyone who fails to report a change of residence within 14 days of the change, shall be found in violation of Article 36 of the Immigration Act and shall be subject to a fine. Once the 14-day deadline has passed, the residence change may only be registered at the relevant immigration office.
